Srinagar, Sept. 6 -- The Teachers' day is celebrated every year on 5th of September which coincides with the birth anniversary of the great philosopher and politician late Dr Saravapalli Radha Krishnan who was the first President of Independent India. He was a an acclaimed teacher and a great thinker therefore the Teachers' day is celebrated to honour the memory of India's first Vice-President and to commemorate the importance of teachers in our lives.
