Champhai, Sep 27, Sept. 28 -- Assam Rifles, under the Spear Corps, in coordination with the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and Mizoram Police, seized a large consignment of areca nuts and poppy seeds valued at approximately Rs.17.89 crore in Champhai district of Mizoram. According to officials, the joint operation led to the seizure of around 1,25,680 kg of areca nuts and 25,440 kg of poppy seeds during an operation conducted in the border district.The seizure was carried out as part of coordinated efforts by the security and enforcement agencies to curb illicit trade and strengthen surveillance in the border areas of Mizoram.The participation of Assam Rifles, DRI and Mizoram Police reflects the importance of inter-agency coord...
