Srinagar, July 19 -- In a significant step towards improving public health and infrastructure in remote border areas, the Assam Rifles installed a 500 Litres Per Hour (LPH) RO (Reverse Osmosis) Water Filter Plant in Mongjang Village, located in the Churachandpur District of Manipur, on July 15. This initiative, conducted under the Assam Rifles Civic Action Program, aims to ensure access to clean and safe drinking water for the residents of Mongjang and neighboring villages near the Indo-Myanmar border.The newly installed water filtration facility is expected to benefit hundreds of villagers who have long faced challenges accessing potable water due to the remote terrain and limited public utilities.
