Guwahati, July 3, July 4 -- In a series of intelligence-based joint operations across the Northeast, the Assam Rifles, under the Spear Corps, achieved major successes against narcotics trafficking and smuggling networks, recovering contraband worth over Rs.15 crore and arresting nine alleged traffickers in coordinated operations with Cachar Police, the Customs Department and the Special Narcotics Police. In the biggest seizure, Assam Rifles and Cachar Police conducted a joint operation at Tollengram in Assam's Cachar district, where two suspected traffickers were apprehended.
