Srinagar, Feb 11, Feb. 12 -- Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo on Wednesday said that nearly 70 driving licences have been revoked in the district after the holders were found involved in cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.He said the decision was taken by the District Level Committee in coordination with District Police Srinagar and allied departments, particularly the Transport Department, as part of intensified efforts to curb drug trafficking.The Deputy Commissioner asserted that any individual found involved in NDPS-related offences will face cancellation and disqualification of their driving licence in accordance with legal provisions.He said the measure is intended to serve as a deter...
