Srinagar, Mar 30, March 31 -- A hostel facility for children of ex-servicemen coming to Srinagar for education is now largely functional, with only minor works pending, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo said on Monday. The project, funded by the Ministry of Defence and approved during 2022-23, aims to provide accommodation support to families of ex-servicemen whose children travel to the city for studies.DC Srinagar said the facility has been developed in coordination with the Sainik Welfare Board and other departments to ensure it meets the needs of beneficiaries."The hostel is by and large functional now, with remaining works to be completed as required," Labroo said.He added that all concerned departments have worked in coordi...
