India, Aug. 18 -- Abbott India has appointed Sudarshan Jain as its Chairman, succeeding Munir Shaikh. He served as Director - Marketing at Abbott India for a decade and later as Managing Director, Healthcare Solutions at Abbott, where he led a business encompassing pharmaceuticals and healthcare solutions. Jain has also served at Abbott India's Board as an Independent Director in 2019.

Jain has a strong passion for business, healthcare policy and the education sector. He is currently the Secretary General of the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA) and the Chairman of the Indian Institute of Health Management and Research (IIHMR), Jaipur.
