Emcure Pharmaceuticals has announced that its subsidiary, Gennova Biopharmaceuticals, has entered into a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) to divest its mRNA business to Immunoscript Life Science. The transaction will be executed for a lump sum cash consideration of Rs 139.5 crore.

This strategic move allows Gennova to reorganise operations and focus on core areas such as research and development, manufacturing, and marketing of biotechnology-based products, including biosimilars and adjacent therapeutic platforms. During FY2025-26, Gennova reported a turnover of Rs 491.7 crore.
