India, Nov. 5 -- The National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi, has recently announced the selection of Dr. Venkata Rama Venugopal Durvasula for the Scientist of the Year Award 2026.

The recognition marks an important milestone in a career combining medicinal chemistry research, pharmaceutical inventions, scientific leadership, and international industry experience.

Dr Durvasula is an Indian-origin pharmaceutical scientist and research and development leader with approximately two decades of experience spanning India, Canada, and the United States.
