India, Aug. 21 -- India's cell and gene therapy (CGT) ecosystem is moving from scientific innovation towards clinical translation and commercialisation, but the country will need stronger regulatory pathways, specialised clinical infrastructure, manufacturing capabilities, financing models and patient-access mechanisms to realise its potential, experts said at the CGT Global Convergence 2026.
