India, July 16 -- The Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC), under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, celebrated its 17th Foundation Day on 15 July 2026 in a ceremony with the august presence of distinguished guests and significant achievements.

Dr Rajesh Gokhale, Secretary, DBT and Director General, BRIC, in his virtual address, appreciated the stupendous achievements of THSTI in its journey of 17 years. He appreciated the institute's robust translation ecosystem and impressive scientific outputs and underlined its pivotal role in promoting innovation and self-reliance in India's rapidly growing bio-economy.
