Patna, April 21 -- In a strong message of continuity and commitment, JD(U) president Nitish Kumar on Monday assured party legislators that he will remain actively engaged in monitoring Bihar's development work, even after stepping down from the Chief Minister's post.

Addressing a meeting of the JD(U) legislative party at 1, Anney Marg - the official residence of the Chief Minister that he occupied for nearly two decades - Kumar emphasized that his transition to the Rajya Sabha will not reduce his involvement in the state's governance and progress.
