Dhaka, Feb. 13 -- Ganosamhati Andolon chief Zonayed Saki has won the Brahmanbaria-6 (Bancharampur) constituency in the national election.

He secured 98,231 votes, defeating his closest rival, Jamaat-;Islami's Md Mohsin, who received 37,965 votes.

The margin of victory stood at more than 60,000 votes.

Assistant Returning Officer and Bancharampur local administrator Tarikul Islam confirmed the result.
