Dhaka, Jan. 27 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has inaugurated e-learning programmes in 12 schools across the three hill districts of Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban.

On Tuesday afternoon, he joined virtually from the State Guest House Jamuna to interact with teachers and students of three primary and nine secondary schools.

According to a statement from the Chief Advisor's Office (CAO), the initiative will be expanded rapidly to 149 selected schools in the three districts.

Addressing the event, Yunus said internet access had reached most parts of the world but remained unavailable in the hill tracts, calling it a failure of successive governments.
