Dhaka, Oct. 8 -- Road Transport Advisor Fouzul Kabir Khan had travelled to Brahmanbaria to inspect traffic woes on a dilapidated stretch of the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway. Caught in the very gridlock he had set out to review, he eventually abandoned his car and continued the journey on a motorcycle.
Jahangir Alam, chief of Brahmanbaria's Khatihata Highway Police Station, said the advisor arrived at the Bishwa Road intersection on a motorcycle around 1:05pm on Wednesday, where he inspected the state of the road.
"About 40 minutes later, his car, which had been stuck in traffic, arrived at Bishwa Road. The advisor then left for Ashuganj in his car."
The 12km stretch between Ashuganj and Bishwa Road usually takes about 30 minutes to cross. Howe...
