Bangladesh, July 19 -- Rain is likely to fall in Dhaka before evening, pause overnight, then return in the early hours, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast.

Meteorologist Tariful Newaz Kabir told bdnews24.com on Sunday that Dhaka may see light to moderate rain until evening.

"There's no chance of rain from evening to midnight, but rainfall may pick up again in the early hours," he said.

Dhaka recorded slight rainfall in the 24 hours to 6am Sunday.

With the monsoon active, rain is forecast across the country on the day.
