Bangladesh, Aug. 27 -- A Dhaka court has asked why TikTok personality Abdullah Al Mamun, better known as Prince Mamun, should not have his bail cancelled in a case filed by social media figure Laila Akhter over assault and threats.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ziadur Rahman issued the order on Wednesday after hearing an application from Laila's lawyer Ishrat Hasan.
Ishrat alleged that Mamun repeatedly threatened her client to withdraw the case.
"Multiple general diaries were filed over the threats, and police found evidence to submit a chargesheet. The accused is still intimidating the complainant. We request his bail be cancelled," Ishrat told the court.
