Dhaka, March 18 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will exchange greetings with diplomats and people from different walks of life at the State Guest House Jamuna on Eid day.

His Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon said the programme will begin at 10am on Eid day, which could fall on either Friday or Saturday, subject to the sighting of the moon.

He added that the prime minister would first offer Eid prayers at the National Eidgah before heading to Jamuna.

"There, he will exchange greetings with diplomats."

Tarique will later exchange Eid greetings with cabinet members, MPs, distinguished citizens, academics, Islamic scholars, artists, writers, senior government and private officials, and people from all walks of life.
