Dhaka, Feb. 11 -- The national election and referendum under the interim government formed after the July Uprising are set to be held on Thursday across the country.
According to the Bangladesh Election Commission (EC), voting will take place continuously from 7:30am to 4:30pm.
This time, voters will receive two separate ballot papers: a white one for the parliamentary election, showing the names and symbols of the candidates, and a pink one for the referendum, with the options "yes" and "no".
There are about 127.5 million voters nationwide. Voting will be conducted at around 250,000 polling stations set up across approximately 43,000 polling centres.
