Dhaka, Sept. 19 -- The government has issued the gazette for its new pay scale for public servants, setting out a phased salary increase that will take full effect from July 2027.

The Ninth National Pay Scale raises salaries by 142 percent at the lowest grade and 100 percent at the highest.

The Finance Division issued the gazette on Saturday, 20 days after the government approved the new structure. It will be known as the Public Service (Pay and Allowances) Order, 2026.

The new pay structure will be implemented in phases, with the revised basic salaries taking effect from Jul 1, according to the gazette.
