Dhaka, April 5 -- A drone has been seized for allegedly flying in the VIP area of Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport without permission.
The drone was seized at 9:45pm on Saturday, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) said in a press statement on Sunday.
The drone was caught while recording a video in front of the VIP pole gate to mark the arrival of the players of the Bangladesh Under-20 team that won the SAFF Championship on Saturday, the statement said.
A CAAB official told bdnews24.com that the drone belonged to a private television channel which was operating without a licence.
The seized drone is a "DGI Mavic-4 Pro" model.
