Dhaka, May 1 -- The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a ban on travel by its nationals to Iran, Lebanon and Iraq owing to ongoing regional disturbances, Gulf News reports.

The ministry also urged all Emirati citizens currently in these countries to leave immediately and return home as soon as possible, the UAE-based newspaper said.

It emphasised the need for nationals to follow its issued guidelines and advisories as part of efforts to monitor their wellbeing and ensure safety abroad.

All UAE nationals in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq are advised to get in touch with the ministry at +971 800 44444.

These precautionary measures are part of ongoing efforts to safeguard citizens, as per the ministry.
