Bangladesh, July 15 -- A court has sentenced two men to death and 10 others to life imprisonment for the murder of a deed writer in Mymensingh over a land dispute.

The convicts were also fined as the court delivered its verdict nearly 13 years after the killing.

Judge Farhana Ferdous of the Mymensingh Special Judges' Court handed down the verdict on Wednesday, Special Public Prosecutor Md Akram Hossain said.

Those sentenced to death are Md Farid Khalifa and Md Masud Mia, who remains on the run.
