Two policemen stabbed hunting down muggers in Dhaka
Dhaka, June 12 -- A mugger chase in Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar has left a police sub-inspector and a constable injured, with two suspects detained.
The injured are Sub-Inspector Samsuzzoha Sarkar of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station and Constable Md Hridoy Hossain attached to the Public Order Management (POM) unit.
Both suffered stab wounds to their left shoulders.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Abdul Momin said three muggers were fleeing in a battery-run rickshaw past the glass bridge near Zia Udyan around 1am on Friday when the two police personnel, on motorcycle patrol, gave chase.
