Bangladesh, July 31 -- Measles symptoms have claimed two more lives in Bangladesh, with fatalities recorded in the Sylhet and Barishal divisions.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported 185 new confirmed measles cases in the 24 hours to 8am on Thursday in its bulletin released on Friday, having tracked outbreak data since Mar 15.

The nationwide death toll from confirmed cases has now reached 96, while 741 people have died after developing symptoms.

The Dhaka Division remains hardest-hit with 322 symptom-related deaths, followed by Sylhet with 109, Rajshahi 91, Chattogram 61, Barishal 45, Mymensingh 70, Khulna 32, and Rangpur 11.
