Dhaka, Sept. 21 -- Police have arrested two people over crude bomb explosions at Dhaka's Kamalapur Railway Station, including a railway electrician who they say is also a leader of the banned Chhatra League.

The suspects have been identified as Mohammad Sakhawat Hossain Raihan, 32, and Mohammad Sanmun, 23.

Raihan has worked as an electrician for Bangladesh Railway since April 2015 but had been absent from work for the past three months, police said.

They identified him as an organising secretary of the Chhatra League's Shahjahanpur unit. Meanwhile, Sanmun has been described as an active member of the Shahjahanpur unit of the Jubo League.
