Dhaka, March 18 -- Police in Narsingdi have recovered the bodies of two men hanging in their homes in a Palash neighbourhood.

They were identified as Musanna Galib Mim, 28, and Sheikh Sharif, 27.

Palash Police chief Abdullah Al Mamun said the two were friends and preliminary findings on Tuesday indicate possible suicide.

Locals reported that Mim's parents were away, and he lived alone. Around 8:30pm, a foul odour prompted residents to alert police.

Officers forced entry and found Mim hanging from a rafter.

The body showed signs of decomposition, suggesting he may have died several days earlier.
