Dhaka, March 6 -- Two directors of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) have been made Officers on Special Duty (OSDs) for "negligence of duty".
They were transferred and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration with immediate effect in separate orders on Thursday.
The position of OSD is often seen as a disciplinary measure, with those in the post having no work to do either in the policymaking or implementation process of the government.
The two BPC directors, who hold a rank equivalent to a joint secretary, are AKM Azadur Rahman and Muhammad Ashraf Hossain.
