Dhaka, June 7 -- A sand-laden truck has crashed into a moving Paharika Express train near Baratakia of Chattogram's Mirsharai.

The incident occurred around 8:55am on Sunday and train services along the route were suspended until 10:30am.

Afterwards, the Paharika Express set off for Sylhet once more.

Farhan Mahmud, the divisional transport officer for the Bangladesh Railway East Zone, said: ""There was no damage to the train or injuries to its passengers [due to the accident], but the truck overturned and the line was suspended [for a time]."
