Dhaka, May 13 -- The International Crimes Tribunal has ordered the start of the trial against former Awami League MP Shamim Osman and 11 others in a case over the killing of 10 people in Narayanganj during the July Uprising.

On Wednesday, Tribunal-1 headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder framed charges in the case and fixed Jun 10 for opening statements by the prosecution and witness testimony.

The other members of the three-judge panel are Justice Md Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury and Justice Md Shahinur Islam.

All suspects, including Shamim, remain absconding.
