Dhaka, March 30 -- A mobile court has fined a trader Tk 100,000 for illegally stockpiling more than 11,000 liters of fuel oil of several types in Natore's Singra Upazila.
Executive Magistrate and Singra Upazila administrator (UNO) Abdullah Al Rifat fined the owner of Asha Traders in Sherkol Bazar around 3pm on Monday.
During the raid carried out on a tip-off, the mobile court found 49 barrels of diesel, five barrels of octane, two barrels of petrol and two barrels of lubricant in its warehouse.
Altaf Sheikh, the business owner, also failed to show valid documents, said UNO Rifat, who ordered that the seized fuel be sold in a week.
