Bangladesh, Sept. 1 -- An hour after the High Court decided to suspend the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) election for two months, the Appellate Division has cleared the way for the polls to proceed as originally planned.
The Appellate Division's chamber justice suspended the High Court's decision following a petition from the Dhaka University administration on Monday afternoon.
Mohammad Shishir Manir, who represented Dhaka University, said that as a result of the chamber justice's decision, there is nothing barring the continuation of election activity.
