Tigers take promising lead as Nahid, Taijul wrap up Pakistan lower order
Dhaka, May 17 -- Pacer Nahid Rana and slow bowler Taijul Islam and have dismantled Pakistan's lower order to give Bangladesh a promising lead in the 2nd Test in Sylhet.
Some high-risk high-reward play from the tail enders took the visitors to 232 on Day 2 on Sunday, leaving them 46 runs shy of Bangladesh's first innings total.
They got off to an encouraging start after lunch as the returning Babar Azam (68) and Salman Agha put up 63 runs for the fifth wicket. But just as momentum seemed to favour Pakistan, a clever variation in pace from Nahid caught Babar off guard, leading him to chip it to Mushfiqur Rahim at mid-on.
