Dhaka, April 28 -- A worrying rise in child deaths linked to measles-like symptoms continues at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where three more children have died.

Hospital Assistant Director Md Mynuddin Khan said on Tuesday that the fatalities occurred during the 24 hours leading up to 9am.

The victims included two boys and one girl.

Among them was a 7-month-old from the district's Gauripur, who was admitted on Apr 22 and passed away at 5pm on Monday.

An hour later, a 4-month-old from Jamalpur's Madarganj, admitted on Apr 23, died.

The third victim, a 5-month-old from Netrokona's Durgapur, died at 10:30pm on Monday night after being hospitalised since Apr 20.
