Dhaka, March 18 -- A Bangladeshi man from Mymensingh who was injured in a missile strike in Saudi Arabia has died in hospital, taking the number of Bangladeshis killed in the attack to three amid the ongoing war in the Middle East.

The victim, 35-year-old Abdullah Al Mamun, was from Bhorbhora village in Gafargaon Upazila. His father, Shahid Soudagor, confirmed the death on Thursday morning.

The strike took place shortly before Iftar on Mar 8 at a workers' camp of Al Towaiq Baldia Company in Al Kharj city, where a missile exploded, killing two Bangladeshi expatriates and injuring several others.

Mamun suffered burns to 72 percent of his body and had been undergoing treatment at Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Al Kharj.
