Dhaka, March 22 -- In an instant, the joy of Eid has turned to grief for the families of those killed in a collision between a train and a bus collision at a level crossing in Cumilla.

Outside the morgue at Cumilla Medical College Hospital on Sunday, relatives stood clutching papers, waiting to receive the bodies of their loved ones. Around them, the air was filled with cries of grief.

Among them was Pintu Islam, a driver from Jashore, who lost his wife and two daughters in the crash.

"I don't know what I will live for now. They were going to their maternal grandparents' home for Eid. I will never see them again.

"I can't accept this."
