Dhaka, Feb. 4 -- A teenage boy has been shot dead during a clash linked to a local power struggle in Narsingdi's Raipura Upazila, police say.
The incident took place around 6am on Wednesday in the Saydabad area of Sreenagar Union, Raipura Police Station chief Md Mujibur Rahman said.
The victim, 14-year-old Mustakim Mia, was the son of Masud Rana, an expatriate living in Saudi Arabia.
Police say the killing followed fresh violence rooted in an ongoing rivalry between two local groups in the Char areas of Raipura.
The dispute, centred on dominance and factional control, has triggered multiple clashes in recent weeks, leaving eight people -- including women -- shot and several homes attacked and looted.
