Dhaka, Sept. 30 -- A teenager has been stabbed to death in Chattogram.

Police said the incident took place on Tuesday night in Lane No. 4 of Pahartali Wireless Colony under Khulshi Police Station in the city.

The teenager, identified as Md Hridoy, was approximately 16 years old. He was a resident of the area and sold vegetables on the roadside footpath there.

Police initially suspect that the killing stemmed from extortion and a senior-junior dispute related to illegally set-up stalls along the road.

Khulshi Police chief Abdur Rahim told bdnews24.com that family members said an acquaintance came to Hridoy's home and called him outside while he was having dinner.
