Dhaka, Feb. 15 -- Tarique Rahman has paid courtesy visits to the homes of Jamaat-e-Islami chief Shafiqur Rahman and National Citizen Party (NCP) Convenor Nahid Islam, framing the meetings as part of what his party described as a "positive political beginning" in post-election Bangladesh.

The BNP chairman, accompanied by senior party leaders including Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, visited Shafiqur's residence in Dhaka's Bashundhara around 7pm on Sunday.

Jamaat leaders present at the meeting included Assistant Secretary General and Publicity and Media Affairs Chief Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair.

Later that night, Tarique went to Nahid's home in Badda, BNP said in a Facebook post....
