Dhaka, Sept. 24 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called for four urgent global actions, including ensuring accessible financing to tackle the impacts of climate change.

He made the call on Thursday during a high-level meeting at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, held in the UN conference room to address the threat of sea-level rise.

The prime minister said sea levels were rising rapidly and global efforts to address the threat needed to move faster to protect current and future generations.

He urged countries to work together to turn commitments made in the declaration into concrete action and ensure that no country had to face rising sea levels alone.
