Dhaka, May 16 -- The BNP government will implement all its electoral pledges one by one and the people will prevent any obstacles in the process, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said.

Addressing a mass rally at Chandpur Sadar Upazila on Saturday afternoon, he urged the people to stay vigilant and warned them of being trapped and misled by "troublemakers".

The event followed the launch of the re-excavation of the "Bishwa Canal" adjacent to Ghosher Haat in Kumarduli village of Shahmahmudpur Union.

Highlighting the nationwide canal excavation drive, he said a vested quarter started misleading people when the government rolled out different cards to ensure public amenities.
