Dhaka, Dec. 13 -- Tarique Rahman has warned that the conspirators have not stopped and that holding the parliamentary elections will "not be easy".

The BNP acting chief made the remarks while attending a workshop virtually from London.

"I have said earlier that holding an election will not be so easy. The conspiracy has not stopped," he said.

He said incidents that occurred over the last few days, particularly the one that occurred in Dhaka on Friday and the attack on a Chattogram BNP leader, indicate his apprehensions are coming true.

He warned that the country is "destined for destruction" if all fail to unite and resolve differences, he warned.
