Dhaka, Sept. 23 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has met Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The two leaders expressed their firm determination to further strengthen the friendly relations between Bangladesh and Turkiye and open up new areas of future cooperation based on mutual interests and common priorities at the meeting.

The meeting was held at the Turkish House at the United Nations Plaza in New York on Tuesday afternoon local time, according to the Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.
