Dhaka, April 4 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has held a meeting with leading business figures to discuss barriers to investment and broader trade and commerce issues in Bangladesh.

The meeting began at 11:30am at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in Tejgaon and concluded around 2:30pm.

Following the session, Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury briefed reporters, saying the prime minister sought direct feedback from the private sector on the challenges they face.

"The prime minister listened to the business leaders to understand exactly where the barriers to investment lie," the finance minister said.
