Bangladesh, May 30 -- BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has launched a party programme to distribute clothing and dry food among underprivileged people in Dhaka on the occasion of the death anniversary of the party's founder, Ziaur Rahman.

After laying a floral wreath at Ziaur Rahman's grave at 11:00am, he inaugurated the clothing distribution programme for the poor at the T&T Ground on Manik Mia Avenue at 11:25am. The BNP chairman and prime minister personally distributed some of the relief items before proceeding to the next venue.

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Dhaka North BNP Convener Aminul Haque, North City Administrator Shafiqul Alam Milton, and other party leaders were present at that time.
