Dhaka, Aug. 10 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called for a united effort to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, saying their implementation will be crucial to rebuilding Bangladesh.

On Monday, he spoke at a three-day national conference on a five-year strategic framework for achieving the SDGs at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre on Monday.

"No single ministry or department can implement the SDGs. It requires collective support from the government, private sector, development partners, NGOs, civil society, media and every citizen," he said.
