Dhaka, March 9 -- A Bangladeshi expatriate has been killed in a missile strike in Saudi Arabia, just hours after he had called his wife to discuss sending money home for their children's Eid-ul-Fitr clothes.
The victim, 40-year-old Mosharraf Hossain, was a resident of Kirtankhola village in the Sakhipur Upazila of Tangail.
He was a father of two sons, aged 14 and 7.
Mosharraf was killed on Sunday evening, moments before Iftar, when a missile hit a labour camp belonging to the Al-Tuwaiq Baladia Company in Al-Kharj city.
Sakhipur Upazila administrator Abdullah Al Rony confirmed the death to reporters on Monday.
"He went abroad eight years ago to pull his family out of poverty," said Rony, after visiting the bereaved family.
