Dhaka, Nov. 4 -- A Dhaka court has placed Jerika Tasnim Disha in custody for three more days for questioning in a case following the recovery of the body of former Bangladesh Air Force officer Tahsif Souri.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Manjurul Islam's court passed the order on Wednesday on an application from the investigation officer, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Saiful Islam of the prosecution police.

Inspector Firoz Uddin of Tongi River Police Outpost had sought seven days of additional questioning. Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Omar Faruq Faruqi argued for custody, while Disha's lawyer Imam Hossain Jabed pressed for bail and rejection of the plea.
