Sudan PM pays courtesy call on Bangladesh president in London
Dhaka, May 16 -- Sudanese Prime Minister Kamil Idris has paid a courtesy call on President Mohammed Shahabuddin in the UK.
The meeting took place on Saturday morning [local time] at a London hotel, says a media statement.
The president's Private Secretary Md Didarul Alam said Idris enquired about Shahabuddin's physical condition during the meeting and wished him a speedy recovery.
Idris also recalled the important contribution of Bangladesh's peacekeeping forces in Sudan and wished for the country's continued progress and prosperity.
"The Sudanese prime minister commended the president for his leadership with patience and prudence during the recent critical times in Bangladesh," the statement reads.
