Dhaka, Aug. 10 -- Students under the madrasa board have registered the lowest pass rate in this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations, while Dhaka board has posted the highest.

In terms of GPA-5 achievers, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Barishal trailed furthest behind, with just 2,778 securing the top grade.

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka led as usual, with 33,253 students earning GPA-5, a spot it has held ever since the grading system was introduced for the SSC in 2001.

Results were published on Monday, with Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon presenting detailed figures at a press conference at the Secretariat afterwards.
